Cloud Provider Outage Causing API Downtime

An outage at one of our network providers caused downtime on our API, and services depending on our API were unavailable. Google quickly reported an all clear on their incident that led to the downtime. We continued to monitor and were prepared to fail over to another cloud if the issue recurred.
